A Parade & Some Apples

What a busy, fun day for the Pontus Family!

We started the day watching the Hazelwood West Homecoming Parade with some dear friends.  We met up with Liz & Natalie, and Poppy.  Amelia really enjoyed her first parade!  Amelia & Natalie were CANDY MAGNETS.  The amount of candy that was thrown at, and at one point actually just handed to, the girls was insane.  If we had been wearing our thinking caps, we would have carted all of it home so that we would have been stocked for Halloween.  :)  Julian didn't seem to care either way about the parade, but that was to be expected.  Let's face it - any time he's not crying is a good time.

After lunch, we headed to Eckert's with the Brown Family.  Since Babcia was in town, she came with us.  Boy were we glad to have her - she helped wrangle the girls!  Amelia & Olivia had fun picking apples and then trying to pick out pumpkins.  We spent some time in the store and then headed over to the farm animals and rides.  Amelia shocked the heck out of us and not only rode a pony, she rode a flying ride thingy with Olivia!!!  Both the pony & the ride were huge hits.

Julian: 6 Months Old

Little Man is now 6 months old.  I feel like I am exiting the "baby phase" and entering the "little boy phase".  This feeling is exaggerated by the fact that Julian wants to do EVERYTHING big sister Amelia does.  Walking, talking, playing with toys, eating real food...you get the point.  If Amelia does it, Julian is interested.

We took Julian to the pediatrician for his 6 Month appointment toward the end of the month (so he was actually closer to 7 months old).  The little trooper got an oral vaccine and a few shots, including the first flu booster.

Official (almost 7 month old) stats:  28 inches long, 20 pounds and 6 ounces.  :)  BIG BOY!

Amelia: 3 Years Old

I am the mom to a 3-year-old.

I have to say that again for it to sink in.  I am the mom to a 3-year-old.  Why does time go by so much fast the older you get?  Not fair.

My beautiful baby girl is now 3.  She is caring, loving, hilarious, smart, and beautiful.  She is stubborn, strong-willed, competitive, and persuasive (and a little manipulative at times).  She is an amazing daughter, a helpful and loving big sister, and a tremendous blessing.  She is Amelia.

Sorry

I am so sorry that this blog hasn't been updated in forever.  I started a job in mid-September that requires me to go in to the office, so my free-time is actually spent doing things with my family.  As a result, this blog has suffered.

Fear not, loyal readers!  I will be bombarding you with blog posts, catching everyone up on what we've been doing, soon.
