Big Week

Short but sweet post.

This is a Big Week for the Pontus 3, er 4.

Today I am 19 weeks. I'll do my big 19 week post on Wednesday. Why Wednesday? Because that's the day we have our big u/s. :) We're very excited to see our little Spring Chicken again, even though we won't be finding out whether we're having a boy or a girl.

Thursday marks 4 years of wedded bliss for me & Alex. I can't believe how fast 4 years has come and gone. I still remember our wedding as if it was yesterday. What a fun party!

Friday my parents are watching Amelia so that Alex & I can go out and celebrate our anniversary, and Alex's 35th birthday (which is next Tuesday). We're so excited to have a few hours out on our own!

So, that about sums things up here for now. Look for a few more posts this week (hopefully).

Halloween 2010

Halloween is my dad's birthday. We started the day with breakfast and presents. We all chipped in and got him a new camera. I think he was pretty surprised.

Amelia opened her card from Grandma, Grandpa & Aunt Marilyn.

She spent some time playing with her Disney princesses (that's Jasmine in her hands).

Posing with Daddy

Amelia always calls "Aladdin" Daddy whenever she sees the character (it's pretty cute). For Halloween, Amelia decided she wanted to wear her Jasmine costume that Grandma made.

Amelia is not feeling Halloween.

She was pouting, so I thought I'd pout too.

Our family. I have no idea why Alex is holding Amelia like that - it looks super uncomfortable.

Instead of heading towards the door, she ran away from it.

Outside. All she wanted to do was play by the tree.

Ringing Grandma & Grandpa's doorbell

Checking out her goodies!

Unfortunately, Amelia wasn't in to Halloween this year. We went to 2 houses, tried for a 3rd where she freaked out and hit Alex in the face in the process. *Sigh* Maybe next year. When we got home, she told us, "Halloween. Don't like it."

18 Weeks!

*I took pictures of my belly today and decided to go back and add them. There's another pic at the end of this post.*

I absolutely cannot believe that I am 18 weeks along already! This pregnancy is flying by. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I have Amelia to chase around this time, and can't just sit around and dwell on all the joy that comes with being pregnant. :)

For the record, I've been asking Alex to take weekly pictures of my ever-growing baby belly, and it just never gets done. I will try to make it happen starting next week. Feel free to bug him about it, too!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 18 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 is the size of a sweet potato!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm only going to fill this part in on the weeks I have a doctor appointment. I'm not weighing myself at home.

Maternity Clothes: Pants are maternity, but I can still wear non-maternity shirts and sweaters...for now.

Gender: Not finding out!

Movement: Still nothing consistent.

Sleep: What can I say...I sleep like a pregnant woman. If I get a 4-hour stretch of sleep, I'm happy.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach, being able to get up by myself from sitting on the floor, wine, etc.
Cravings: Food. Lots of it.

Symptoms: You know, I'm not even sure what this means anymore. I'm pregnant. I feel pregnant. I have aches and pains, I get out of breath easily, I waddle, I pee all the time, I EAT all the time, I'm tired...but I'm GLOWING! :)

Boo @ the Zoo!

We went to our 2nd Annual Boo @ the Zoo on Saturday with our good friends, the Peusters. They have a daughter (Natalie) who is about 9 months younger than Amelia.
The weather this year was much milder than last year. Amelia dressed up as Princess Aurora and Natalie was Minnie Mouse. I might be biased, but they were the cutest little girls at the whole park! :)
We brought our 2-seater wagon and the girls had a blast, playing and people-watching while Alex pulled them around the park. The giraffes were definitely the highlight of the day.
It's hard to believe that next year, we'll have another little one along with us!

Random: Sept-Oct

It's no secret that I've fallen behind on this blog. Chalk it up to working a lot and suffering from pregnancy-induced exhaustion.

Here are some pictures from September and October.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We went to Eckert's to pick apples and get our pumpkins on an unseasonably warm Saturday. Seriously - we were sweating! This year, my parents and Aunt Marilyn joined us.
Amelia had a lot of fun looking at the animals in the petting zoo. Then we took the tractor ride out the get some apples (it was slim pickings). My parents & aunt opted to head on back, while we went ahead to the pumpkin patch.
It was a great day!

16 weeks

This morning was my 16 week appointment. I was able to hear Peanut's heartbeat - 150 bpm! I have to go back and check, but I *think* Amelia's heart rate was higher. Regardless, Dr. K said that everything looks (and sounds) great.

Next up - our "big" ultrasound on November 10th! Even though we're not finding out the sex of the baby, we're both really excited to see Peanut again.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 16 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby P is the size of an avocado!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +7 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yep! I can still wear some of my "fat" clothes, though.
Gender: Still don't know.
Movement: Nothing consistent - but the baby does roll into my belly, causing a weird sensation.
Sleep: I'm now getting leg cramps when I sleep, so I have to constantly change positions. Not a whole lot of sleep going on.
What I miss: Sleep. :) And a non-toasted ham sandwich.
Cravings: No real cravings, I'm just constantly hungry.
Symptoms: Rhinitis of pregnancy, sciatic pain, leg cramps, constant hunger.
