Boo @ the Zoo!

We went to our 2nd Annual Boo @ the Zoo on Saturday with our good friends, the Peusters. They have a daughter (Natalie) who is about 9 months younger than Amelia.
The weather this year was much milder than last year. Amelia dressed up as Princess Aurora and Natalie was Minnie Mouse. I might be biased, but they were the cutest little girls at the whole park! :)
We brought our 2-seater wagon and the girls had a blast, playing and people-watching while Alex pulled them around the park. The giraffes were definitely the highlight of the day.
It's hard to believe that next year, we'll have another little one along with us!

Random: Sept-Oct

It's no secret that I've fallen behind on this blog. Chalk it up to working a lot and suffering from pregnancy-induced exhaustion.

Here are some pictures from September and October.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We went to Eckert's to pick apples and get our pumpkins on an unseasonably warm Saturday. Seriously - we were sweating! This year, my parents and Aunt Marilyn joined us.
Amelia had a lot of fun looking at the animals in the petting zoo. Then we took the tractor ride out the get some apples (it was slim pickings). My parents & aunt opted to head on back, while we went ahead to the pumpkin patch.
It was a great day!

16 weeks

This morning was my 16 week appointment. I was able to hear Peanut's heartbeat - 150 bpm! I have to go back and check, but I *think* Amelia's heart rate was higher. Regardless, Dr. K said that everything looks (and sounds) great.

Next up - our "big" ultrasound on November 10th! Even though we're not finding out the sex of the baby, we're both really excited to see Peanut again.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 16 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby P is the size of an avocado!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +7 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yep! I can still wear some of my "fat" clothes, though.
Gender: Still don't know.
Movement: Nothing consistent - but the baby does roll into my belly, causing a weird sensation.
Sleep: I'm now getting leg cramps when I sleep, so I have to constantly change positions. Not a whole lot of sleep going on.
What I miss: Sleep. :) And a non-toasted ham sandwich.
Cravings: No real cravings, I'm just constantly hungry.
Symptoms: Rhinitis of pregnancy, sciatic pain, leg cramps, constant hunger.

Here We Go Again! Subtitle: What We've Been Up To

I apologize for the dead air for so long.

Our big news (that I'm sure is OLD news by now): WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!!

Baby #2 is due April 4, 2011. Let's be honest, this will probably be a March baby. We're hoping to make it past 36 weeks with this one, but even my OB thinks we won't make it to our due date. Time will tell.

Things have been going along really well. I started showing at around 9-ish weeks...I guess it's true that you show earlier with 2nd babies! Amelia doesn't fully grasp what will rock her world in a few months. She knows where the baby is - when you ask, she pats my belly. Beyond that, she's blissfully unaware, for now.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 15 Weeks
Size of baby:
Baby P is the size of an orange!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 2 lbs
Maternity Clothes: I'm still fitting in most of the clothes from before I lost 43 pounds on Weight Watchers, but I do wear maternity clothes on cold days.
Gender:
We will NOT be finding out the gender this time! :)
Movement:
Sporadic flutters and light jabs. Nothing consistent.
Sleep:
I have my energy back, but get pretty tired by about 6. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable in bed, so I don't sleep super well.
What I miss:
I have been wanting wine and margaritas lately.
Cravings:
Too many to list. Mexican food, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, cheeseburgers, etc. (pretty much anything I couldn't eat while on Weight Watchers)
Symptoms: Rhinitis of pregnancy (again)
