Julian's 4 month visit was delayed a little over a week due to double ear infections. We weren't looking forward to it since it would involve a lot of shots.
As usual, he CRIED. Amelia didn't like the shots either, but I don't remember her being quite as dramatic as Julian is when he gets his shots. He even flashed the offending nurse a pitiful look as she walked out of the room. He was a little weepy and crabby that day and the next day, but no major issues from the shots.
Julian weighed in at 17 pounds, 8 ounces and was 26 1/4 inches long. HOLY GROWTH SPURT, Batman! He's a big boy.
He's almost completely in 9 month (!!!???!!!) clothes and wears size 3 diapers. Julian's trying to crawl and trying to walk. His favorite thing is to be held in the standing position, and to take some steps towards Amelia. He seems to like the Jumperoo (but he tries to WALK, not really jump in it). We've put Julian in the highchair a few times - he can tolerate it for a little while. I also tried him out in the walker. He liked it & actually moved backwards a few times. *sigh* I think he may skip crawling and just start walking. We've tried rice cereal with him, but he doesn't seem to like it. Julian got his first taste of squash and it seemed to go over well. We'll keep at it! Honestly, I think he wants a slice of pizza. :)

Yes, I put a boy in my son's hair. Don't worry - he didn't like it. (But boy is he cute!) |
